No WBig Deal

As I've said earlier, radio sucks, and caring about it is a waste of time. "Big100" had a playlist that was so short that they couldn't make it through the day without repeats. The 100 or so tunes they played may have been fine, in and of themselves, but how many times a week do you need to hear Fontella Bass sing "Rescue Me"? The DJ's were boring and knew less about rock and soul than my mother. There was no information, no background, and nothing obscure or exotic. Aural wallpaper for baby boomers.
The only interesting thing about the change will be the absurdity of having two stations that now play nothing but Freebird and Stairway To Heaven. Meanwhile, I'm gonna listen to an old MC5 record...
