A rather surreal venue, but I always loved this tune. Back in May of '78 I was finishing up a stupid and disappointing year down at William & Mary. It was my last day in town, all my goods were packed in the car, just one more exam to take and I'd leave directly from the classroom to go straight home, (and never return). The one bright spot down there was the college radio - WCWM. I called the DJ up, requested Sold American as my swan song, which he graciously and promptly played, and I was off...
