The World's Newest Metropolis

http://www.wtopnews.com/?nid=111&sid=1431947

Sigh, the times were that it used to be you had to be big to be called urban. Apparently, not any more. Can someone please tell me when Sioux Falls became a CITY?!? I'm sorry, but I'm a bit of a snob here - I don't even consider Richmond a city. The whole Sioux Falls "metropolitan" area only makes it slightly more populous than Arlington, (while Arlington is about a quarter the physical size). We're only talking about 215,000 people spread across the plains here, people. Of course it's safe driving there - because there's no one on the god damned roads! Why, there's more traffic in some driveways in Parkington than there is in all of South Dakota combined! And how can you possible compare some rural outback with LA, DC, Chicago or New York? Why, here in NoVa, we've imported a million people from virtually every culture and country on earth - each bringing the worst of their native driving habits with them - all combining to form a "Perfect Storm" alternating between total gridlock and a director's cut of Mad Max. And you dare to lump us in with some old trading post left over from Dancing With Wolves?!?! Of course it's safer driving there. It's also cleaner, less crime-ridden, quieter, friendlier, and slower moving. - that's because IT'S NOT A CITY. It's a fucking grain silo. Allstate might as well be polling the Gobi Desert for their comparisons.
Of course, the good news is that DC was the worst (REAL) city for accidents . WE'RE #1!!!!!
