The Spinners perform a medley

One of my faves. Barry Gordy and Motown gave us the Four Tops and Temptations in the 60's and from there you move to an explosion of great groupps in the early 70's: the Stylistics, the Main Ingredient, the Commodores, the O Jays, the Chi Lites, Earth Wind & Fire, and Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, to name some of the most successful. And they're all wonderful. But to me, the Spinners were the best. It was a smooth sound containing a passionate soul vibe. And there was just something so professional about their vocals. Like the Temps, they could take even a mediocre song, and find and wring out of it any smidgen of quality and good that it contained, (the Everly's were good at that, too). A class act.
