Remember...

I keep getting these emails dealing with what one remembers, based upon their age. I’ve decided in a fit of boredom to come up with my own list. I suspect most of the items will be at least somewhat familiar to those of you over 55 years of age, with a decrease as we go down the years. Virtually everything here would date from at least 1955* to 1969. For those of you under 30, this might be an amusing test. And yes, everything here I remember and have witnessed or experienced. Feel free to suggest additions, as long as they're realistic for this time period.

  • Jesus F'n Christ! I dont think there is anything on there I dont recall! I turned 53 in january. And much of that,it's been year's since I even thought about them. You certainly have a better damn memory than I do. I liked the old "Twilight Zone" episodes as a kid. I hated f'n 8 track's...evryone I knew loved them...but I thought they were so big and bulky...I was using cassetes instead...and looked at as an oddball for doing so. I actually still have alot of music on cassette...alot of old school stuff, like punk, industrial and such. And I still hate f'n seat belt's!

  • Another thing...when you mentioned "air raid siren's" I remember when we had school's where we sat in neat row's and we had alert's as such...where they had us hide under the desk...I never thought about it then, but looking back...I wonder...what the hell good would that have done if we were getting bombed?! Some folk's had them shelter's in the basement where they ratholed all kind's of stuf if we got bombed.
