My poor Mother, always trying to give me a little culture; always failing. About a thousand years ago, there was a special performance of the Nutcracker Suite at DAR Constitution Hall - specially made for children, and MC'd by Captain Kangaroo (!). I must have been around 2nd grade. I'm sure it was wonderful. But it just washed over me without effect. On the other hand, I LOVE Nut Rocker! This is the original, but ELP also did a fab version.
