I'd love to hear more about this little tragedy. Exactly what were the dimensions of an argument about taking lights down in mid-January? Was the wife a fanatatic procrastinator? the type who leave their wreaths up until they've become dried brown cinders, only to be finally blow away into dust in July? (We had two neighbors at our old house's neighborhood who did this.) Are the jack-o-lanterns left out until they rot? (We have at least one person on our current street who practices this rather festive version of composting).
