The United States of Freedonia

I just recently learned that Freedonia was in contention to be the name of this country, (which might have warded off a lot of resentment from all of the other inhabitants of the Western hemisphere with us calling ourselves "Americans"). I wonder if it's too late to change? I, for one, would welcome being a citizen of the USF. Hail Freedonia!
