American epic. Great song. I'm reasonably certain I've got every reference but one of the last - who are the Father, Son & Holy Ghost catching the last train to the coast? I loved the idea of it being the Guthrie's and Seeger, but Woody didn't go West. And I've always assumed that it was the West coast because Don was an Eastern folkie and there was a general migration to the West in the late 60's and early 70's. Don won't talk, it's maddening, and yes, I'm obsessed...
