History Animated

http://www.historyanimated.com/newhistoryanimated/

Am just starting to explore this site, and it looks pretty neat.  It presents campaigns and battles from the American Revolution, the American Civil War and the Pacific campaign of WWII in (semi) animated graphics.  There are a variety of notes along with the presentation and (gasp!) books are recommended for further research and understanding, (with links to Amezon.com).  The two presentations that I viewed (the seige of Yorktown and the Guadalcanal Campaign) both seemed pretty good.  The site is geared towards being used as an aid by high school teachers, (it is a pleasant surprise to discover that apparently some history is being taught in some high schools).  Very cool and highly recommended!

(Thanks for the link, Dennis!)
