  • this article is too bare bones. The captian of Barb, "Lucky" Fluckey" wrote a book, "Fire down Below", that is quite good.
    In his account, the boyscouts trying to set the explosive were more like Keystone Cops.
    There was a lot of missteps and they weren't sure it would work because the pressure plate did not seem to be working.
