I am not fooled....

It is 67 degrees outside the Manor right now.  It is, in a word, wonderful.  The remainder of our snow is melting.  There's a gentle breeze and the sun is out.  This is not unusual for us.  It seems like nearly every Winter we will get 3-10 days of a "false Spring" like this sometime between mid January and early March.  Plants will start budding, people will  dress down, etc.  But like most lightly given promises, this almost always ends in treachery and disappointment - usually with a sucker punch of an ice storm - killing off the buds and sending us scurrying back to overcoats and mittens.  So, there's no way I'm predicting the end of the Winter doldrums, etc.  But for a little while, it's pretty damn nice outside.
