Space Beer

The gods know I'm not an expert about anything regarding space travel.  But I've always wondered why artificial gravity on spacecraft wasn't made a priority (perhaps it was/is and it's not possible?).  It seems like conquering that would solve a whole lot of other problems in one blow.
