Sigh, the continuing hitler cult

http://www.spiegel.de/international/zeitgeist/0,1518,683966,00.html

As I've pointed out before, despite some empty-headed fantasizing by himmler and the crackpots that he surrounded himself with, hitler despised "Asiatics" and is on record openly mocking and insulting them. Yes, it seems like every week the History or Military Channels are busy broadcasting all sorts of nazi/Indian/Tibetan/Aryan connections. The facts are simple, and well known to scholars of the period: virtually all of these expeditions and studies were fairly small-scale philosophical wet dreams by himmler, performed under his budget (and at the expense of other more practical tasks)and not treated seriously by the rest of the party, especially hitler.  And yes, there were alliances between the Axis and various groups in the British Empire who hoped that such would lead to independence for their peoples, (the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Subhas Chandra Bose are the two leading examples).  But there alliances were quite cynical on the part of both sides.  And these folks would have been, at absolute best, puppet fronts for client states/colonies of the Axis.  Sorry, but non-Nordic/Germanics who would worship nazism are just proving how pathetically and suicidally ignorant they are.
