The nazi invasion of Ireland?

Maybe.  Certainly, if Operation Sea Lion had been a success, I think an Irish invasion would have been seriously considered, and successful.  But the one idea that hitler would invade Ireland as a prelude to Britain is ridiculous.  Germany had neither the naval or air power necessary for such a long range maneuver within striking distance of Southern Britain.
