Alive & Well

It's still too dark to see how most of the neighborhood is doing.  But we here at the Manor survived Hurricane Sandy with no more problems than a loss of power for about four hours.  It is quite cool outside, (upper 40's), and there's still a light rain falling, (that makes it about 30+ hours of constant precipitation), but only a gently breeze is left to remind us of the gusts from last night.  The worst was around 10-11PM, (when our power went out), I'd guesstimate those winds reached 70-75mph.  At any rate, we appear to have dodged a bullet.  There are a lot of roads closed due to flooding and downed trees, power will be out for some folks for awhile, etc.  but I think the area did much better than expected.
