The Poe Toaster didn't exist for seven generations, merely one and a half.  The identities of both individuals were known to the curator of the Poe House, (enabling him to identify the 'real' toaster, as opposed to the many fakes who show up that evening).  The reality is a fun little story and pseudo-mystery, and has nothing to do with the MIB.
