There was a rather good German science-fiction novel called Das Paulus-Projekt based on this concept -- I don't know whether it was ever translated into English. Scientifically it's nonsense, of course. Most of the human genome matches the chimpanzee genome down to very minute details, and the differences (smaller than chimpanzee-gorilla genetic differences) are within the normal range of terrestrial variation -- no sign of anything that looks like it came from outside the ordinary Earthly genetic system. Not that it would be possible to "cross-breed" Neanderthals (or any other Earthly species) with a totally-unrelated alien species. Why don't these people ever learn any genetics?
Greetings!
This site will be devoted to all the funny, weird, disturbing, and unusual stuff I find or am sent. This will include pictures, games, comics, cartoons, articles, jokes, and anomalies. Enjoy!
