Am I old fashioned - or just edjumicated?

I am a bit curious about this article.  With the exception of the word 'literally', I believe that I use all of the words listed here the way that the article states that they were originally intended to be used.  Would this be a generational problem?  Because I honestly didn't get any shock value out of the explanations:  "Oh!  I've been saying it wrong all of this time!", etc.
