I've heard personal conversations and read articles over the years that have viewed Fathers as an unneeded appendage. Fine, whatever.   I can only say that I miss mine terribly and know that my own life would have been much much worse without him having been a central part of it.  If yours is still around, or if you are one, I hope that your relationship is as positive as the one that I had.
