Here we have a wonderful article about my old pal, Jeff Place, and how central he's been to the archiving, preservation and promotion of folk music and related arts. I had the pleasure of working with Jeff in my first record store job, and he was my main teacher. A wonderful person; and I can't think of anyone better suited for his job with the Smithsonian.
