Really liked this article.  I've been drinking (and researching) it for years, and this article matches up with my experiences and findings, exactly.  There's more bullshit and blather about this stuff - it seems directed towards ignorant frat boys.  If you like the taste of anise/licorice, try it, you'll like it.
