We'll see.  There have been breathless announcements about the coming of fusion energy my entire life.  In the 1950's, the scientists predicted it would be in ten years; in the 1960's they predicted it would be in twenty years; in the 1970's they predicted it would be in thirty years.  In the 1980's they wised up and stopped predicting.  Then we had the mormons out in some school in Utah claiming they'd created "cold fusion" - and that went nowhere.  I'll believe it when I get my flying car...
