Frampton performs Baby I Love Your Way

Let's face it, '76 was a weird summer for myself and for quite a few of you reading this. Romances started and ended, marriages collapsed, jobs were scarce, the economy was going to hell, there were seemingly endless rivers of cheap wine, and a forced march of parties, concerts, and general debauchery. With a little distance, I'd now say it was clearly a "between-time", with the hippies/60's vibe gliding down and the East Coast punks gathering strength for their onslaught against the foundations of heaven and earth, (or at least the radio dial). It was a micro-display of Dickens' wonderful intro about the Best & Worst of Times. Well, we made it through, (although only the gods know how, it's a wonder there's one good liver or brain cell between all of us...), with a few deep scars - some physical and some psychic. We'll never see those times again, comrades - you have to be young to create that much drama, and you might have to be young to survive it. There were a lot of good tunes, (and a lot of poor ones), but there's no denying Frampton dominated all. And this is my fave by him.
