One of the weirder and (for me) fascinating chapters of WWII is the number of foreigners fighting in various branches of the German military. And perhaps the strangest was the British SS. There are doubts that there were more than a pathetic dozen members, and it was nothing more than a low-grade propaganda tool, probably not worth the investment put into it. A strange little footnote.
