Yes, the clothing is vomitous. And yes, even back then they were accused of being rip offs of Spanky & Our Gang. But I've always loved this song, regardless. And they were sort of Baltimore's answer to DC's John Phillips. This is one of those groups/songs almost forgotten now. If you mention it to a boomer, the odds are you'll just get a shrug; but play it for them and it'll be "Oh yea, I remember this!"
