Mildly interesting/amusing. As one commenter on the site points out, there are/were all sorts of contingency plans out there. I remember hearing of one the Germans had in the late Victorian era against the U.S. The basic idea was to take the German fleet and load it up with troops, sail to New York City, conquer it and the nearby environs, and then sit back and wait for us to surrender. I suppose there are some lands that might surrender if 5% of their population and 1% of their land mass is occupied, but I'd hope we were made of sterner stuff.....
