I sometimes wonder if there is some kind of genetic combination of utter wimpiness mixed with mindless authoritarianism that predisposes someone to become a school administrator. My mother actually rode a horse to school all through grade school. (True) - I'll have to ask her how it feels to now be labeled a lawless brigand.
As for a horse being as dangerous as a loaded firearm: well, yes, I suppose so. But so is a car, a bus, a matchbook, or a mindless twit running the school. We've gone from the boy in the bubble to the nation in the bubble. How pathetic.
