So, the wealthiest county in America has decided to spend that wealth on school administrators that believe in passing grades, no matter what. Sweet. We must not subject the little snowflakes to anything resembling a reality where (hopefully) cheating and shrugging off responsibilities isn't rewarded. How pathetic we've become.
I'm not quite sure how students will respond to this double barrelled approach of no F's and tolerance for cheating. Will they now cheat to avoid the F that they aren't going to be graded?!? Or will they not do the work, and then cheat to pass it later on? And what if a student gets caught cheating, has to retake the test - and gets caught cheating again?
The fact that the principal of the school can't competently answer questions about or consistently explain what the official policy is regarding grading and cheating makes this all the more amusing*. You'd think that for all of their billions, Fairfax County could afford to buy a bureaucrat who can explain the most basic of school procedures and policies. Perhaps he flunked "Principal School", or cheated to pass.....
*Read the article carefully to see all of the twists and turns that this moron makes trying to escape the fact that he doesn't want to flunk anyone, and wants to encourage cheating.
