Day of the Triffids

It is a warm spring day, here at the Manor, with a good chance of a thunder storm later on in the afternoon.  But the most notable feature is that everything is covered in a snot-yellow dust of oak (and other) pollen.  One needs to clean off the windshield before attempting to drive a car, the air is cloudy with the stuff, and even those of us not allergic have problems breathing.  We're literally being asphyxiated by trees fucking.
