A good read.  But, I would disagree with the writer on S&G being ignored these days.  Everytime there's been a reunion it's considered a big deal.  I suspect the old albums sell at about the rate one would expect 40+ year old music to do, (it pains me to think that they're that old).  Simon got his Kennedy Center award, etc.  I think they're doing okay, recognition-wise.
