Anyone with even a cursory knowledge of Virginia's political history over the past 40 years knows the the Republican Party are little more than an offshoot of the old White Citizens Councils and KKK.  Hell, Governor Allen used to keep a lynching noose on display in his office.  Telling me that the Republican Party is racist is like telling me that the Sun rises in the East.  (I'd add misogynistic, anti-Semitic, and homophobic to the list, as well).  Save those Confederate dollars, Kids - they're still legal tender South of the Rappahannock River!
