If my remaining brain cells serve me correctly, it was around this time of year in 1974 that this was a hit. Virtually inescapable on AM radio at the time. One of those tunes that immediately fills my mind with the scent of cheap wine and smoke. It was a foggy time, and one is left with cell-like images. Parking in the little driveway behind the local Episcopal school in our neighborhood. Playing pinball at the Electric Circus down on Route 1, wandering aimlessly between parties and drinking schooners at Lum's on King Street, exploring the world, both inner and outer in big and little ways....
