Tramps Like Us...
Bruce released the album Born To Run on this date 31 years ago. For its time, THE anthem of the East Coast, and the soundtrack to a lot living in those days. An almost pure American record, starting with a blistering drum rush right out of Carole King's "Locomotion" and quickly throwing in every major influence from the previous twenty years - Berry, Dylan, Bo Diddley, the Brill Building, Spector, Orbison, Stax, and a nod towards Sergio Leone.
Hopes and dreams, loss and struggle, desperation and a race into the night. A part of my DNA. Essential. Genesis 1:3.
