This is wrong on so many levels, and typical on so many levels of what a bunch of little whiny worrywart pseudo-commissars we've become. They now have lunch police!?! With inspections!?! And in North Carolina - a land I most remember for the Klan billboards that greeted you when you drove into the State? Sheesh! I'd finish by pointing out that many/most Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs, and not a small number of Christians and neopagans would have a problem with meat being forced down their children's gullets by these so-called health rules, (which sound strangely enough as if they were written by the pork and poultry industry that dominates the State's agriculture...).

slavery represents "individual rights"
http://news.yahoo.com/minn-city-councilman-defends-confederate-flag-outside-home-154818571.html
It is always fascinating to someone who studies history how the slaveholders' rebellion is described as a matter of liberty and rights. A cursory reading of the speeches and writings of the time will prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that the only supposed right being fought for was to own and brutalize those of another color. It's also interesting to see someone who is obviously a white supremacist accusing others of playing the "race card"...

http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Military/2012/0210/Nazi-flag-incident-puts-culture-of-Marine-snipers-in-spotlight
It's interesting to see Marines lying like a sack of shit. "Sniper Scouts", eh? Those punks knew EXACTLY what that flag stood for, as did the paid mouthpiece who came up with this defense of the indefensible. I wonder how many American service men were killed by the SS - certainly thousands, both in combat and afterwards, (see Peiper - Battle of the Bulge, for an example of what the SS did to captured Americans). I wonder how their progeny feel about members of our (I guess that they're "our" - maybe not anymore) military now openly glorifying the schutzstaffel. It's obvious that the usual whitewash/cover-up/stonewalling has already begun, with vague talk of classes, and talk of talks, and talk of talks about talks. Heaven forbid anyone actually be punished, or at least tossed out. It's sickening.
I would also point out to these obergruppenfuhrer wannabes one other little fact - the ss lost. REAL Americans helped beat 'em....

Roswell & Manned Fugo Balloons
http://desertdarkness.blogspot.com/2012/01/john-keel-screaming-monkey-and-roswell.html
I've always found these two (possibly related) subjects of interest, and find Keel's stories of manned Fugo balloons to be on the edge of the possible. I do know there were serious plans to have light Japanese bombers transported and launched from submarines in the Pacific, bomb the Texas oilfields and then crash land in the Gulf of Mexico, (with the pilots picked up by German u-boats). But they could never quite pull off the logistics. Suicide balloons would have been a much easier proposition, however, (I don't think a human could have made it all the way from Japan, as the non-manned balloons were handled). I look forward to whatever Refern can dig up on this.

Sigh. It seems inevitable that things like this will occur as we get further along in time. It will be helped along by the general ignoring of teaching things like history, critical thinking, and the lack of empathy that our gadget-obsessed times seems to generate.
